Q&A WITH JENNIFER
What's your writing life like?
It takes place after the kids are in bed! I work full time, and am a mom for the evening hours. Once the kiddos are in bed, I settle down to write. I can usually work for about an hour or so before calling it quits. I wish I could have hours and hours to drink coffee and noodle on my words, but alas, that's not my life. As a result, I rarely have writer's block. I sit down, get it done and repeat day after day until the book is finished.

What do you think of the Kindle?
I like gadgets, so if I were given one, I would probably use it. (It's a little expensive, so I haven't purchased one as of yet.) I personally think that I would ultimately prefer to hold an actual book. But anything that gets people reading is fine with me.

What author do you wish you could meet?
Hands down, it would be Flannery O'Connor. I would love to visit Andalusia and stroll around the grounds with her. Did you know the Flannery O'Connor Foundation has a bumper sticker that reads, "I'd rather be reading Flannery O'Connor"?

I could dive into Flannery's books and stories over and over. I love reading her collected letters. It makes her seem so real to me, and also saddens me that the world lost her too soon.
